Speaking of details...
Polishing the details and refining the edges are sometimes my favorite parts of painting. The closer and closer you get to the end of a painting of the greater the effect of individual brushstrokes. A small dab can completely change a character's expression, and an almost imperceptible buff of color in the right place can change a viewer's reaction. Everything counts, but the secret is to know when to stop.
