I went ahead and tackled the logo first. It's so bold and bright so I wanted to get it in there to balance the figure work against it. Often times figure work will look like a bad blue screen effect if you punch in a dark or bright background afterward. It's difficult to balance an image for a bold background while working on a white background.
It's a bit of a cheat, but I also did the yellows in acrylics. Yellow watercolor tends to have problems with lightfastness, so I often use acrylics to give the image more durability. I sometimes do this with purple as well.
