digital sketching
A little while back OpenCanvas. It's a great little program, and one of the best things is that it allows you to record every brushstroke you make on a project. Keep in mind that you are seeing this without all the hesitations and tea breaks. Altogether about fifteen to twenty minutes compressed into less than one.
progressing to the drawing.

This is as far as I'm going to take the drawing. There are a number of unfinished details i.e. hands and guns, but I prefer finishing those on the board. I will use an opaque projector to reproduce this drawing on watercolor paper, and the projector is not always reliable when it comes to straight lines.
